Highlights announced today the appointment of Dennis Hupp as Senior Vice President of Retail. Hupp will be responsible for directing Highlights’ growth in various retail channels by bringing together brick-and-mortar and e-commerce distribution to strengthen their commonalities and amplify their unique propositions.
“Highlights’ retail business is continuing to grow and expand, in both its product offerings and purchasing channels,” said Lece Lohr, President of Highlights Consumer Business. “Dennis brings the expertise and leadership needed to expand Highlights’ reach among families and improve our ability to focus both on retail growth and strategic product development initiatives.”
Hupp has more than 25 years of experience and expertise in retail marketing and merchandising, building sales organizations, licensing and partnerships, product development and 3rd party e-commerce channels. Most recently, Dennis was the Chief Commercial Officer at Slingshot Coffee Company, a start-up CPG company that produces cold coffee beverages sold through natural and conventional grocery stores, independent and specialty retail, food service outlets, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and e-commerce retailers. He also worked for several consumer products and children’s entertainment organizations, including SunTree Snack Foods, Vivendi Entertainment at Universal Music Group, and Buena Vista Home Entertainment at the Walt Disney Company.
